Eyes, Ears, and That Weird Slow Blink

Staring at you: Either plotting or trying to telepathically ask for dinner. Slow blink: This is the cat version of “I trust you” or “You’re okay, I guess.” Ears forward: Curious. Ears sideways or back: “Stop what you're doing or there will be consequences.” Tip: If your cat slow-blinks at you, try slow-blinking back. You might just get promoted from “staff” to “low-ranking friend.”

According to this article, my cat has been calling me an idiot for 3 years. Honestly? Fair point.

My cat headbutted me after I read this. We’re basically fluent now.

My cat has been staring at me for 20 minutes straight and I'm starting to wonder if I'm supposed to guess what she wants like some kind of feline charades game. So far my guesses of 'food,' 'treats,' and 'world domination' have all been met with the same judgmental glare.
